In the Heights - Lin Manuel Miranda
We saw this show last Sunday in NYC. It won the Tony Award this year for best new musical. It’s a very interesting piece of modern musical theatre. It mixes latin hip-hop and rap with the traditional Broadway musical for amazing results. Give this opening number a listen.
P.S. Lin Manuel Miranda is a genius. He wrote the first version of the show when he was a sophomore at Wesleyan University and stars in it.
