A live bat was discovered recently on the third floor of the Virginia residence hall. Upon further examination, several bats were found in the building’s attic. The university is working with a contractor to rid the building of the bats before tomorrow morning and seal any cracks or crevices through which the bats might return. The Health Department is comfortable with the university’s handling of the situation and has given its approval to fully occupy the building according to our normal check-in plan and schedule tomorrow morning … If you have any questions, I’ll be happy to answer them or refer you to the appropriate person.
